SPX 2014 was a week and a half ago and I’m still melancholy for it. I never ever ever get tired of being around friends who love comics and melted chocolate and booze.
This year I debuted my new book Sea Legs! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and picked it up, read it, or just said hello. I’m very proud of it and I’m so happy to hear from people who liked it! I will be launching it as a webcomic shortly (and a gumroad PDF of this whole first book for those who don’t want to wait). If that’s something that interests you then keep an eye on this space!
I barely left my table for the duration of the show so I didn’t get to grab everything on my list, but the stuff I DID get is top notch. Look at all those great books and gorgeous stickers!! I also got my very first Sea Legs fanart from Ruby, which I LOVE COMPLETELY <3<3<3
I must give a shoutout to my magnificent tablemate Em, the Lionhearted, and my peeps Kasey, Linds, and Deanna who did some really stellar Hanni impressions when i had to leave my post. I’m grateful for all the people I met and friends I reconnected with, and the SPX organizers who work hard to make this a fun, welcoming and safe community. One weekend is not enough!

Hi friendos! This weekend I will be at Small Press Expo in Bethesda, MD! I have a brand new book debuting called Sea Legs, the Walkabout Trout! It’s cute as heck and i will draw you a mermaid in it!
I will be selling the FINAL RUN of Owltober books, so grab them while you can! I also have Owltober stickers and glow-in-the-dark buttons, just in time for the spooky season. Plus a handful of Elephants Can’t Play Piano, and BRAND NEW BUSINESS CARDS. Yowza!
